Press Release handout supplied by Wealden
The scheme is aimed at helping rural commuities - offering help with gas (ed - eh?) and electricity meters.
Smart meters are the new generation of gas and electricity meters being rolled out across Great Britain. They show you how much energy you are using in pounds and pence, in near real time and bring an end to estimated bills. This will save households money and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
On behalf of Wealden District Council we wish to reach as many people as possible within Rotherfield to ensure you have sufficient information about Smart meters, or know who to contact if you have any questions.
Please see attached an information leaflet which tells you all about the new Smart meters and if you want more information you will find it at www.smartenergyGB.org.
For more information please call Wealden District Council’s Smart Energy meter Hotline on 01323 443313.
